Reverend Zollie D. Bagby, Sr. is a charter member and the shepherd of Village Baptist Church. Pastor Bagby is a graduate of the Virginia Seminary and College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and a Master of Divinity degree in Theology. In 1997, the Maryland Theological College conferred upon him an Honorary Doctor of Divinity and the degree of Humane Letters. His credentials also include certificates and related courses from the Church-Wide Institute of Baltimore, Community College Of Baltimore, and Baltimore County Community College. Pastor Bagby has served and held offices in Christian, community and fraternal organizations.
In addition to being the Pastor of Village Baptist Church, Pastor Bagby is a published and accomplished author, and wrote, Man’s Misconceptions of Biblical Promises. Pastor Bagby’s book clarifies the very specific conditions relative to the majority of Biblical promises, repentance, and faith.
Pastor Bagby was married to the late Carolyn Bagby for 52 years. They have two adult children, Zollie D. Bagby, Jr. and Rhonda L. Bagby –Alston.
